Supervisory Responsibility: This role currently does not have direct reports.

Location: While we are open to remote candidates we are prioritizing individuals that are able to work under a hybrid model with 3 days a week in our NYC Headquarters. 

Travel: This role will not be expected to travel. Note, Knit does US All Team, in-person company events twice per year.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000

Knit is the AI-Native Research Agency helping researchers run agency-quality quant + qual research at a fraction of traditional agency time and cost. Through Knit, brands like NASCAR, JBL, and Mars automate their consumer research process to get a quicker and more holistic understanding of their audiences.

Overview

Knit is hiring a Content Marketing Manager to own and execute our B2B content engine. This person will translate customer insights, proprietary research, and product value into high-impact content that drives awareness, engagement, and qualified pipeline.

This is not just a content production role. You will be responsible for:

  • Turning research and customer insights into thought leadership
  • Owning Knit’s organic LinkedIn presence
  • Supporting executive thought leadership on LinkedIn
  • Owning event content for a variety of events
  • Building scalable, AI-enhanced content workflows
  • Driving measurable impact on MQLs, SQLs, and revenue

You’ll partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Product, CS, and Research to ensure our content resonates with our ICP and supports the full buyer journey.

Responsibilities | What you will own… 

Key performance indicators for this role:

  • Volume and consistency of content production aligned to the content calendar
  • Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) generated through content
  • Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) influenced by content
  • Contribution to sales conversions and revenue generation (ARR)
  • Growth and engagement of Knit’s LinkedIn presence

Primary responsibilities of this role

Content Strategy & Editorial Ownership

  • Collaborate across the Marketing function to refine and execute Knit’s B2B content strategy
  • Develop, manage, and maintain the editorial calendar
  • Maintain content guidelines, tone, and messaging consistency
  • Identify content gaps and proactively recommend new initiatives

Content Production (End-to-End Ownership)

  • Produce high-quality, research-driven content to drive traffic and convert target customers, including: blog articles, whitepapers, survey reports, case studies, email campaigns, web copy, sales enablement materials, and event/webinar presentations
  • Own content from ideation through distribution and performance optimization
  • Translate proprietary research and data into compelling thought leadership

LinkedIn & Organic Social Leadership

  • Own Knit’s organic LinkedIn content strategy and publishing calendar
  • Develop LinkedIn-native thought leadership content aligned to ICP pain points
  • Repurpose long-form content into engaging LinkedIn posts
  • Partner with company leadership to support executive LinkedIn presence and thought leadership
  • Optimize LinkedIn performance based on engagement, reach, and pipeline influence
  • Collaborate with paid marketing efforts for alignment

AI-Enhanced Content Creation

  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, ideation, outlining, repurposing, and SEO/AEO optimization
  • Build scalable AI-assisted workflows to increase content velocity while maintaining quality
  • Apply strong editorial judgment to ensure originality, accuracy, and brand consistency
    Continuously evaluate and improve AI-enabled content processes

Design & Creative Collaboration

  • Maintain high standards for formatting, layout, and visual storytelling
  • Develop basic visual assets independently when appropriate (e.g., Canva, presentation slides, light graphics)
  • Create structured creative briefs for internal or external designers
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure content aligns with brand standards and has the right look and feel
  • Ensure data and research are presented clearly and visually

Cross-Functional & Customer Collaboration

  • Communicate cross-functionally across Sales, CS, Product, and Research to ensure content aligns with department goals
  • Interview customers and prospects to develop case studies and customer-led content
  • Develop content that addresses sales objections and supports pipeline acceleration
  • Support marketing initiatives including conferences, webinars, outbound campaigns, and events

Performance & Optimization

  • Continuously iterate on content tactics (channels, formats, distribution strategies) based on performance metrics including traffic, engagement, downloads, meetings booked, leads generated, CAC, and pipeline impact
  • Use data to inform decisions and refine strategy
 

Required Skills & Experiences

  • 4+ years of content marketing or direct copywriting experience in a B2B environment (SaaS preferred)
  • Extremely strong writing skills (long-form and short-form) with the ability to translate complex research into compelling narratives
  • Proven experience creating content that drives measurable pipeline impact
  • Experience owning or significantly contributing to a B2B LinkedIn presence
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to enhance content production and optimization
  • Strong visual taste with basic design proficiency (Canva, Figma, or similar)
  • Experience collaborating effectively with internal or external designers
  • Ability to make and revisit decisions based on real-time performance data
  • Ability to produce long-form, short-form, graphic, and presentation-based content (or manage freelancers to do so)
  • Ability to develop, organize, and maintain process documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and juggle priorities
  • Results-oriented; proven ability to prioritize, drive, and achieve results under time pressure

Nice to haves, but not required

  • Previous experience in market research SaaS, insights platforms, or go-to-market SaaS
  • Strong SEO and data-driven content optimization experience
  • Experience turning proprietary data into thought leadership
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Google Analytics, LinkedIn analytics, and modern marketing tech stacks
  • Experience with light data analysis
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects)
