Role: Sr AI Engineer, NLP

Reports To: Head of AI
Location: India. We are prioritizing candidates in the Delhi area. This role is expected to work in the Indian time zone IST.
Travel: This role will be expected to make annual travel 3-4 times domestically in India and 1-2 times internationally to the US. Note, Knit US does US All Team, in-person company events twice per year.

Overview
This Senior AI Engineer [NLP] role focuses on developing and deploying generative AI models to streamline market research automation, working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers. By leveraging cutting-edge LLM techniques, this position ensures that Knit’s platform can rapidly produce high-quality consumer insights at scale, boosting efficiency and competitive advantage.

Primary responsibilities of this role:
- Design & Refine ML & LLM Solutions | Architect, fine-tune, and integrate models to produce insightful, trustworthy results.
- Backend Engineering | Build scalable APIs, robust pipelines, and tightly integrated backend services.
- Validation & Compliance | Run pilot tests, ensure TRL readiness, maintain security, and mitigate bias.
- Continuous Improvement | Monitor performance, iterate on solutions, and help move from early adopters to mainstream markets.
Required Skills & Experiences
- LLM Expertise | Strong background in designing and tuning advanced models for 3+ years..
- Backend Engineering | Proficiency in creating APIs, microservices, and cloud-based solutions.
- Communication & Analysis | Ability to convey technical details clearly and align initiatives with business needs.
- Adaptability | Commitment to learning new methods and evolving as the field advances.
