Director of Product Marketing
Who we’re looking for…
Director of Product Marketing
Team: Marketing
Reports To: Head of Marketing
Supervisory Responsibility: This is a Director-level role with direct ownership of Knit’s Product Marketing function. While there are currently no direct reports, you will be expected to own both strategy and execution while driving cross-functional alignment with Product, Sales, and Customer Success. Over time, you’ll lay the groundwork for building and scaling a team as the company grows.
Location: We are prioritizing candidates in Austin, TX. Knit has a remote working policy, so we welcome teammates anywhere in the US. We also have pods in NYC, Austin, Chicago, and D.C. where you are welcome to work anytime. Our standard operating hours are Monday - Friday, 9am–5pm ET.
Travel: This role will be expected to travel on occasion for industry conferences and Knit in-person team meetings. Knit US does two in-person All Team events per year.

Overview
The Director of Product Marketing at Knit will lead the strategy, positioning, and execution of product marketing initiatives that drive adoption, revenue growth, and category leadership. This is both a strategic and hands-on role: you will own the full scope of Product Marketing — from messaging frameworks to launch execution to enablement — while building cross-functional processes that scale.
As the first dedicated Product Marketing hire, you’ll serve as the voice of the market, connecting customer insights, product development, and commercial goals to fuel Knit’s next stage of growth. You’ll balance shaping the long-term vision for Product Marketing with executing the day-to-day programs that deliver measurable impact.

- Consistent delivery of high-quality positioning, messaging, and collateral that enable Sales and Customer Success.
- Increased product adoption and expansion across enterprise accounts.
- Establishment of scalable workflows and processes that set the foundation for a future Product Marketing team.
- Lead the planning and execution of GTM strategies for new products, features, and capabilities.
- Own the creation of compelling narratives that clearly communicate Knit’s new product release(s) value and differentiation in the market.
- Partner with Sales and CS to develop enablement programs, tools, and materials that increase win rates and drive adoption.
- Lead competitive analysis, customer research, and market trends to shape product and GTM strategies.
- Orchestrate collaboration between Marketing, Product, Sales, and CS to ensure shared priorities and consistent execution.
- Translate Knit’s category vision into product-level proof points, partnering with the Head of Marketing on thought leadership and storytelling.
- Draft messaging frameworks for a new feature launch, ensuring they connect to Knit’s broader category story.
- Facilitate a cross-functional alignment meeting with Product and Sales to prepare for a GTM release.
- Build and deliver sales enablement tools (e.g., battlecards, competitive positioning, launch decks).
- Conduct customer and market research to refine messaging and feed insights back into the product roadmap.
- Present product marketing metrics to the Head of Marketing and executive leadership.
- Balance hands-on execution (crafting materials yourself) with building processes that set the stage for scale.
- Other duties as assigned [to be less than 10% of your role responsibilities]
