Title: Administrative Assistant – Research Operations

Reports To: Research Operations Lead

Location: Remote

Knit has a hybrid working policy, with team members in the US and India. In the US, we have pods in NYC, Austin, Chicago, and D.C. In India, we have a pod in Delhi. Our standard business operating hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm EST. This is a part-time, asynchronous role expected to log approximately 10-20 hours per week.

Travel: This role will not be expected to travel. Note, Knit US does a US All Team Summit in-person once per year.

Overview

The Administrative Assistant – Research Operations will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of Knit’s project metrics. This role supports the Research, Finance and Sales teams by ensuring data accuracy, organization, and accessibility across shared systems. By keeping Knit’s metrics clean and reliable, this position enables seamless reporting, financial reconciliation, and operational decision-making.

Responsibilities | What you will own… 

Key performance indicators for this team & role:

  • Accuracy of project metric records 
  • Timely updating of records (daily/weekly cadence as required)
  • Positive feedback from Finance, Research, and Sales stakeholders

Primary responsibilities of this role:

  • Enter and update project-level data in Google Sheets and Knit’s internal tracking systems
  • Maintain consistent naming conventions, file structures, and data organization across Google Drive
  • Perform quality checks to identify and correct discrepancies in project metrics
  • Support the Research Operations and Finance teams with reconciliations and monthly reporting by providing accurate data extracts
  • Assist Research Operations team with ad-hoc data pulls and summaries for internal stakeholders
  • Support the Sales team to ensure project status and outcomes are reflected accurately in records
 

Required Skills & Experiences

  • Strong data entry expertise with proven ability to manage detailed information accurately
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel (formulas, lookups, formatting)
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing shared files in Google Drive
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a habit of spotting inconsistencies and correcting them quickly
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English (fluent required)
  • Prior experience in an administrative, operations, or data management role preferred
